OttoTHON is a student-run dance marathon and the largest fundraiser at Syracuse University (SU). A team of SU students organizes an annual 12-hour dance marathon to raise money for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital the Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
As the community relations chair, I planned shorter, 12-minute dance marathons out in the Syracuse Community. As the photo and video editor, I created all the video content leading up to our event and oversaw a team of photographers and videographers producing content during the event. I played a leadership role in planning and executing the 2017 dance marathon that raised more than $159,000 for the hospital (the highest amount to date).
A national finalist for Best Promotional Video. I wrote, designed and animated this short video to promote OttoTHON’s fundraising goals for Child’s Health Day.
I created a short video tour of Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital to show the hospital to dancers who had never been. This video also served to thank the dancers on behalf of the staff.
